Sewer Air Handling

Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District

Water Treatment Plant Case Study

CHALLENGE: The Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District faced a significant challenge when replacing the air handling units at its water treatment plant. Because conditions in and around a sewage water treatment plant are unique and corrosive to standard galvanized air handlers, the client required a solution that could stand up to the harsh environment and deliver a long service life.

SOLUTION: Air Enterprises was able to provide the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District with a larger capacity air handling system to meet its needs. The robust air handling unit was constructed out of double wall anodized aluminum, with all internal components made from copper, stainless steel and phenolic coated steels to minimize the risk of corrosion and leakage.

RESULTS: The all-aluminum air handling system installed by Air Enterprises met the unique performance needs of the client. The system also ensures a long air handling unit life, reduced maintenance costs and greater operational efficiency for the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District.
